MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

More than
moving money.

Payments look simple from the outside. Behind every transaction, there's a lot happening.

I've worked across several parts of the financial technology industry, helping build, implement, support, and troubleshoot the systems that make digital payments possible.

My experience includes developing backend services, implementing payment applications for financial institutions, validating APIs, investigating transaction failures, and supporting integrations across distributed payment systems.

Today, my focus is on payment routing and switching, working across engineering and product teams to understand complex transaction behaviour and support reliable payment processing.

CURRENT ROLE Giza, Egypt

Working across teams responsible for payment routing, switching, and integration delivery within Flutterwave's transaction-processing environment.

  • Validate and troubleshoot REST APIs across middleware and proxy services, identifying integration defects and configuration issues.
  • Trace transaction lifecycles across distributed payment systems to investigate routing inconsistencies, provider failures, and response-mapping gaps.
  • Investigate transaction behaviour using API requests, application logs, database records, and provider responses.
  • Support payment integrations and releases across development, staging, pilot, and production environments.
  • Work with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams on integration delivery, incident investigation, and production issue resolution.

  • Developed and supported secure backend APIs and authentication mechanisms for financial transactions.
  • Contributed to transaction-processing and switching logic using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Delivered Linux and Android-based payment application implementations for more than 50 microfinance banks, including cross-border deployments.
  • Supported configuration, testing, deployment, and post-deployment troubleshooting.
